SILENT MANY, SILENT FEW

So many signs do I see,

That don’t apply to me.

Trying to find my place in the world,

But I’m starting to realise,

That my standards,

Are uncommon,

Or even abnormal,

For the common minds,

Of today.

So where should my happiness,

Lie?

When I’m alone,

I can think,

But not speak.

I can breathe,

But cannot offer any life,

To anyone.

I can sing,

But my dignity must stay,

Intact,

Just as those before me,

Have taught.

I may be crazy,

But why cannot I just fall in love,

With something so much,

So much.
